Welcome to the magical world of Sam!

Hello, I am Sam, not actually a magical world, but I do love all things magical. I am pagan and love the witch core and cottage core style. For Sam's Magical Threads I combined so many of my passions into one, magic, fantasy, nature, rainbows and scifi into one big ball of bold bright wardrobe.

Sewing has always been a solid interest, spending much of my teen years teaching myself to sew and create my own alternative wardrobe. It started me down the path of finding my style and altering patterns to suit that. Then when I was 30, not long after having my precious little thing, I found so much joy in creating beautiful clothing for baby. Little thing was in cloth nappies, and high street clothing didn't really cater to the shape of a cloth nappy. It just made so much sense to create my own and also start selling.

A big problem I had was, I started out sewing different fabrics, usually cotton woven fabrics. So starting sewing stretch jersey was a big adjustment. I made a lot of mistakes, struggled to get it right for quite a while. The thing is, I am a stubborn witch, this is a hinderance and a blessing sometimes. I refused to follow a pattern correctly because in my brain, I already 'knew' what I was doing. How wrong I was. But the good side of stubborn meant I wouldn't quit and finally started to read patterns correctly. When you stick to something for long enough, you eventually catch on.
